Shop Local…Cool Finds At Collector Art Shop

I’m back with another addition to my shop local series with a great spot I heard about from a few different artisans when I attended the Renegade Craft Fair last month.  Collector Art Shop in Jack London Square is the 2nd storefront of this unique and innovative retail approach conceptualized by Christina Begley & Skye Sullivan.  With a focus on bringing original art to people of all tastes and budgets, Collector Art Shop is filled to the brim with lovely creations in many forms.

The Jack London Square location opened in May of this year, following the success of the flagship store in the Elmwood District of Berkeley.  When the open, light-filled space in the Ironworks District became vacant, Skye & Christina got a call from the artist studio tucked in back, Studios Eleven.  Giving them the opportunity to showcase larger pieces by popular artists from their Berkeley store, they jumped at the chance to expand their offerings.  On the gallery walls during my visit were amazing artists such as Eric Rewitzer, Mariko Hibbett, and Heather Robinson.
